Paint by Number of Davy Jones with one of his horses in Indiantown in 2001 (Why, yes, as a matter of fact, that is an under-the-muzzle smudge of Italiano sauce on Mr. Jones' equine pal's coat. You do remember, of course, how Davy was often heard to say, "You can lead a horse to pizza, and you CAN make it eat," don't you? That's okay. No need to apologize. Sometimes it takes an untimely death to bring back certain special memories.)
"Ego Eimi." --JCJack Handey
FRIDAY,
because, in case you haven't yet gotten wind of Wednesday's sad, sad news (Please to cLiCkY-cLiCkY this bloggy title--> "Now Might Be a Good Time for Everyone to Hum a Little 'Daydream Believer'" for the then breaking word.), Davy Jones, a onetime an eternal teen heartthrob of the made-for-television pop band The Monkees, was stricken with a heart attack while attending to horses he kept In Idiantown, Florida, and died.
I LOVED Davy Jones, maybe even more than Marcia Brady did. Devasted hardly covers it. Losing Mr. Jones leaves a giant hole in my heart. We have lost him, and a symbol, if you will, of a happy part of our youth is gone as well.
AN NPR article I read stated something else that is very sad:
"...it's taken Jones's death to force us to seriously consider righting what now seems to be an obvious, glaring injustice, but now that it's happened, we need to accept the facts. It's time to induct the Monkees into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame."
THREE WORDS:
Man, oh, man...
IF JESUS DROVE by right now, I'd hail Him down, because I know exactly who He should cast that Lazarus spell of His on., Heartsick at the ews-ly,
SparkleFarkle
Rest in peace, my Mollo, ZuZu, and Davy Jones.

Happy Jack Handey Friday. Yes, is was a shock to hear about Davey Jones. I used to watch The Monkees all the time on tv. Most likely in repeats, but I did watch it. I hope that you have a good weekend, none the less.
Hi, Miss RotieGirl. I'm glad to hear you were a Monkees fan, too. I don't know... Silly, maybe? Sensitive-y Daydream Believer, perhaps? "The Magic That is Me!", probably? Whatever the case may be, I am definitely taking it rather hard to have Davy Jones so untimely taken from us.
Thanks for stopping by.
Luv,
SparkleFarkle
P.S. I could use a rollicking good video of Chance. Yeah, that would be the best medicine!
Sparkle, if you check on my blog, there's a late video of the train running around our Christmas village. That might help cheer you up.
*returns after having just watched "Chance and the Christmas village" three times in a row*
Thanks, RottieGirl, I needed that! Chance was riding on the choo-choo, right?
